A lit NOCTÉ candle glowing on a dark stone ledge with drifting smoke

Small-batch candle studio

Light kept low,
on purpose.

Handcrafted luxury candles poured by hand in small runs, from natural materials and fragrance built for the whole burn — not the first ten minutes.

Every candle we make is an argument for slowing down: fewer expressions, better materials, and a fourteen-day cure that no schedule would justify.

NOCTÉ is a small independent studio. We are not trying to be everywhere — we are trying to make four candles, plus one seasonal edition, that are worth living with.

Fragrance is composed first and design follows. The vessels are plain because the point of a candle is not the object on the table; it is what happens to the room around it.

How we make them

Why NOCTÉ

  • 01

    Small-batch

A few hundred candles at a time, poured by one pair of hands and checked one by one.

  • 02

    Materials

Natural soy and coconut wax, unbleached cotton wicks, and fragrance chosen before design.

  • 03

    Atmosphere

Compositions built to change the temperature of a room rather than announce themselves.

  • 04

    Intimacy

A short range we can stand behind for years, made in a studio rather than a factory.

The process

Fourteen days from wick to shelf

Wax is held at a fixed temperature, fragrance added at the exact point the two bind, and every vessel poured one at a time. Then the part that matters most: two weeks of doing nothing at all while the candle settles.

Questions

A few things worth knowing

All questions
What makes NOCTÉ different from other candles?
Scale and intent. We pour in small batches, keep the range to four permanent expressions plus one seasonal edition, and build each fragrance to hold its character across an entire burn rather than only in the first ten minutes. The design is deliberately quiet so the candle reads as part of the room.
How are the candles made?
Each fragrance is composed and tested on the bench, then blended into a natural wax at a fixed temperature, poured by hand one vessel at a time, cured for fourteen days, and finished and checked individually before it leaves the studio.
What ingredients do you use?
A natural soy and coconut wax blend with no paraffin or synthetic hardeners, unbleached braided cotton wicks sized to each vessel, and fragrance compositions built from essential oils supported by IFRA-compliant materials.
